Meet Bagel
The dog who inspired Treatables.
In September 2020, our family visited a local rescue in Southlake, Texas, hoping to find a dog to love.
Instead...
Bagel found us.
While the other dogs were busy playing, Bagel quietly walked over to our son, Carson. He was calm, gentle, and had the kind of eyes that seemed almost human.
He didn’t ask for much. He just wanted a family to love, and lots of belly scratches.
From that moment on, we knew Bagel had adopted us—not the other way around.
Before long, we couldn’t imagine life without him.
As the years passed, we wanted treats we could feel good about giving Bagel. So we started making our own.
Friends and family loved them, and before long, Treatables was born.
The rest is Treatables.
Six Years of Love
A few months after graduation, as Carson was preparing to leave for college, he said goodbye and repeated something he'd always told Bagel whenever he left home:
“Bye, Bagel. Be a good boy while I'm gone. You're in charge.”
It was their little tradition. And six years later, some things hadn't changed.
Because they're family.
The Inspiration Behind Our First Logo
In September 2022, Carson created a painting of Bagel for a school project, using a poolside photograph of Bagel as his inspiration.
That painting later inspired our first Treatables logo and remains a meaningful part of our story today.
